2023 Middle/High School Tryout Training and Preparation

August 2nd - October 15th

Training Monday-Thursday (all days encouraged but not required)

League games on Sunday afternoons

This program is limited to first 64 registrants

 

Summary and Highlights: 

As the 2023-24 school year approaches, incoming 6th-9th grade athletes in our area are gearing up for middle school and freshman high school tryouts. Unfortunately, many of them faced disappointment last year, as 50-75 students per school competed for a limited number of team spots. School coaches observed that while these athletes showed potential, their lack of experience and exposure to competitive training became evident.

At Hustle Basketball, we are dedicated to helping student athletes succeed, and that's why we are offering a School Tryout Training and Preparation program tailored specifically for incoming 6th-9th graders.

Our experienced training staff will provide expert guidance, instruction, evaluations, and drills to help students develop good habits, enhance their basketball abilities, and reinforce fundamental skills. We aim to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel during tryouts and stand out to coaches.

This program is designed for athletes with a moderate to high level of skill, knowledge, and experience. Spots are limited to 16 players per age group.

This program includes league play in actual games, it does not guarantee a roster spot on a Hustle Select/Elite AAU team or guarantee making the school team. However, if you aspire to become a Hustle Basketball AAU player, this program offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills, dedication, and hard work, potentially providing a competitive advantage when trying out for our teams after the school season ends.

Program Details:

Skills Training with Hustle Training Staff:

• Twice weekly skills training
• 8-week program starting August 2nd
• Tuesday and Thursday sessions

Hustle Basketball League AAU Competitive Leagues:

• Games serve as a platform to apply skills learned during training
• All games played at Griffin Elite
• 8-game season plus tournament
• High School Certified Officials
• Games recorded 
• Season begins on August 6th

Strength and Conditioning at Griffin Elite:

• Strength, speed, and agility training provided at Griffin Elite
• Griffin Elite is a renowned facility for athlete development
• Includes 2 one-hour sessions per week on Mondays and Wednesdays, with a make-up date on Saturdays

Hustle Basketball School Combine:

• Middle school coaches have limited time to evaluate and select 10 players from a pool of 50+ students during tryouts
• Participants in this program will automatically be eligible to participate in the Hustle Basketball Combine (outside players will have a $50 cost)
• The Combine features five-on-five games, shooting drills, and strength and agility assessments at Griffin Elite
• Middle school coaches will be invited and in attendance to observe and evaluate players prior to tryouts

Fees: 

2023 Middle School Tryout Training and Preparation Program:  $300* 

*Includes all training, Hustle Basketball league fees, Hustle Combine and home/away jersey.  Can be paid in three monthly installment payments of $100.

Registration deadline is Friday, July 28th or when full. 

Breakdown

• 16 - 1 hour strength and conditioning sessions ($300 value)

• 16 - 1 hour group basketball sessions ($400 value)

• League Fee and Uniform ($100)

• Hustle Combine ($50)

       $850 in basketball training and activities for just $300!!!
