2024 Middle/High School Training and School Preparation

August 5th - October 20th

Training Tuesday-Thursday with league games on Sunday

(all days encouraged but not required)

Summary and Highlights: 

As the 2024-25 school year approaches, incoming 6th-9th grade athletes in our area are gearing up for middle school and freshman high school tryouts. Some players faced disappointment last year, as 50-75 students per school competed for a limited number of team spots. School coaches observed that while these athletes showed potential, their lack of experience and exposure to competitive basketball and training became evident.

At Hustle Basketball, we are dedicated to helping student athletes succeed, and that's why we are offering this School Training and Preparation program tailored specifically for incoming 6th-9th graders.

Our experienced training staff will provide expert guidance, instruction, evaluations, and drills to help students develop good habits, enhance their basketball abilities, and reinforce fundamental skills. We aim to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel during tryouts and stand out to coaches.

This program is designed for athletes with a moderate to high level of skill, knowledge, and experience. Spots are limited to 32 players per age group.  Players will be evaluated and placed within groups of their current skill level to ensure the proper level of training.

This program includes scrimmaging in actual games, it does not guarantee a roster spot on a Hustle Select/Elite AAU team or guarantee making the school team. However, if you aspire to become a Hustle Basketball AAU player, this program offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills, dedication, and hard work, potentially providing a competitive advantage when trying out for our teams after the school season ends.

Program Details:

Skills Training with Hustle Training Staff:

• 16 Total Sessions
• Expert basketball trainers
• Twice weekly skills training
• 8-week program starting August 2nd
• Tuesday and Thursday sessions

Competitive Games in the Fall Hustle League:

• 8 Games
• Games serve as a platform to apply skills learned during training
• All games played at Griffin Elite
• High School Certified Officials

Strength and Conditioning at Griffin Elite:

• 8 Sessions
• Strength, speed, and agility training provided at Griffin Elite
• Griffin Elite is a renowned facility for athlete development
• Wednesday Session

Hustle Basketball School Combine:

• Middle school coaches have limited time to evaluate and select 10 players from a pool of 50+ students during tryouts
• Participants in this program will automatically be eligible to participate in the Hustle Basketball Combine (outside players will have a $50 cost)
• The Combine features five-on-five games, shooting drills, and strength and agility assessments at Griffin Elite
• Middle school/HS coaches will be invited and in attendance to observe and evaluate players prior to tryouts

Fees: 

2024 Middle/High School Training and Preparation Program:  $400* 

*Includes all training, Scrimmage Games, Hustle Combine and home/away jersey.  Can be paid in two installment payments of $200 (option chosen at checkout).

Registration deadline is Thursday, August 1st

Breakdown

• 16 - 1 hour group basketball sessions (twice per week)

• 8 - 1 hour strength and conditioning sessions (once per week)

• 8 Live Games with Referees and Uniform (one game per week)
